#4 Antique Working Decoy-carved Wood Raymond Printed Lead Weight
This is one of a collection of old wood decoys I have acquired from my friend who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He died at age 80. He was an avid duck hunter since he was a kid.
I have no knowledge of decoys except if it is signed. This one, I believe is a female mallard duck. It is 12 1/2"L x 6 1/8"H x 4 1/4 W. No markings, except a strip of Raymond lead on bottom, from Raymond Lead Co. Wood carved and paint is worn.2 pc head and body attached at neck. Lots of holes - riddled with buckshot? Shows lots of use, chipped painting, nicks and cracks, after all it was a working decoy.
