Antique hunting duck decoy Herters model perfect mallard hen MN folk art. Very rare and early Herters Model Perfect mallard hen in strong original paint. Some light wear from use with a few rubs to wood on the high points as shown in the photos. This is a fresh find.
Carved bill and carved shaped shoulders. Hollow 2 Pc construction with bottom board nailed on. A well-made and carved decoy. Measures about 14 long by 5 wide and 7 tall at the head with ½ bottom board.
