Antique vintage old wooden working Curlew decoy

New England or Long Island Curlew Decoy. T know who carved this decoy but whoever it is they definitely had some skill. It has a very dry surface and may have had an old varnish applied at some point. You can see some of the old paint detailing and the old paint surface on the bill.

No sign of glass or tack eyes. It has a nice raised wing carving and split tail. There is some hairline cracks to the body, but it is in very good condition. The bill amazingly looks to be original and still securely attached to the head.

The stick and stand come with the bird, and the stick may have been from the same time as to when the decoy was used. If anyone has any additional info or opinions please let me know.
