Antique vintage old wooden working Miles Hancock Merganser decoy
Miles Hancock was from Chincoteague, Va. And this is a good example of Hancock's work. It is a nice slender body with a more decorative paint application than some that I have seen, which gives it a nice folky look. The paint is original and in good condition. There is an old hairline crack in the neck but secure and tight.
