Marie Michigan in original working paint condition, 1982. Approximate size is: 18" long by 7" wide and 7 1/4 high. This decoy was carved and painted with exacting detail over a period of a year, made to hunt over, but met for the shelf. This Atlantic Brant Decoy has been floated and hunted over during the 1983 Duck Season.
My father and myself, put this decoy out in our spread over a two day hunt. Dad always floated his decoys, when we did, we were advised not to shoot close to them, especially this Brant Decoy.
After the 1983 Duck Season, this decoy was put on the shelf to join my fathers other rig mates. This decoy is on that poster and the purchaser of this decoy will receive a free signed poster by myself, Daniel F. My father passed nearly 3 years ago at 96 years, and he was a master carver of decoys, also a Tool & Die Maker by trade. This originally carved working decoy would make an excellent addition to that serious collector of original carvings.
