Offering for sale a Redhead drake decoy made by Ben Dye from Cecil County , Maryland. Dye and John Graham from Cecil County made some of the earliest wooden duck decoys dating as early as the 1860's. This bird has the most desirable and classic head and body form he produced.

Diminutive in size, it measures only 12 1/2 long. This bird was gunned over, having shot in the head and body from a "head on low shot". The is a crack on the lower right neck area that has three square head nails that were added many years ago. Looking at the bottom there are rectangular holes where the old cast iron type weight was once attached.
