A pair of Wildfowler Pintail duck decoys. Made by the Wildfowler Decoy Co. Of Old Saybrook, Connecticut between 1939 & 1957. Working decoys with the scars to prove it.
The Drake has numerous paints rubs and the breast has been repainted, see photos. The Drake measures: 17" long by 6-1/2" wide by 6-3/4 high. The Hen has a large area on the right side where the paint has rued off, see photo. The Hen has numerous shot holes on the left side, see photo. The Hen measures: 15-1/2" long by 6-1/2" wide by 6-3/4 high.The paint on the Drake and Hen appear to be original. The Drake appears to have a coat of wax or varnish on it.
