Two large mouth trophy bass woodcarving by Casey Edwards. These bass are carved and painted in Casey's contemporary style. As you can see they are comparable to high grade taxidermy work, yet they are totally out of wood. Another thing which makes most of Casey's fish and birds stand out, is the fact that most of his pieces are carved in 3-D, meaning, carved on all sides, where most taxidermists and carvers display only one side. Casey also has his own style of carving in the scales. The splayed fins, curved tails and open mouth all show action, including how they are positioned on the driftwood branch pedestal that Casey designed. So very unique and collectible. This piece measures 23" tall and 16" wide, with one keeper bass measuring 17 1/2" and the other 16" long.
