Pair of flying long-billed dowitchers, handcarved by Casey Edwards. These shorebirds, like all of Casey's pieces are so unique, and so one-of-a-kind, that it is difficult to describe their beauty. These birds are carved and painted in Casey's antique/vintage style. The birds are tipped at an angle, and pointing slightly downward, and the wings are cupped, curved, and positioned exactly the way a shorebird flies when cutting the wind and banking in for a landing. They are situated on a gorgeous piece of red cedar driftwood. The piece measures 19" tall by 14" wide, while the long-billed dowitchers measure life-size at 14" long by 11" wide, wing tip to wing tip.
