Ned Burgess Duck Decoy 1940 18.5 Vintage North Carolina (Bob Morse)
This is from my father's decoy collection. He bought it in the 1980's in Charlotte NC, from a friend of Ned Burgess who lived on Church's Island NC. It is about 18.5 inches long, and a bit over 6 inches wide.
To provide provenance I've added 3 pages of a 4 page 1981 letter from the woman we bought the decoy from. Eta - I've been alerted that this may be a decoy by Bob Morse, who was Ned Burgess' neighbor and also a well known carver. So please be accepting of this possibility before purchasing. If I get more info about this I will add it here. I need the red stand for other decoys I'm going to list for him, so it's not included.
