Outstanding John McLoughlin Mallard Hen gunning rig decoy ca. 1940's
Here in an outstanding all original Mallard hen by John McLoughlin circa 1940's. This is one of the best gunning birds in my collection.
John primarily carved Black Ducks, Pintail and Blue Bills for gunning. His Mallards are not very common as gunning deeks. This decoy was pictured in the Winter issue of North American Decoys in 1974. Condition: 100% original hunted over, good o. If you are looking for an outstanding gunning McLoughlin, this is the one to have.
