Ralph Malpage Signed Full Sized Widgeon Pair of Decoys. These decoys are hand signed.
They have carved wing tips and tremendous detail; exactly what you would expect of a master carver. Both are in mint condition and signed by the maker. These are the full sized ducks.
Please see photos for condition, note the exquisite feather carving on the decoys and the subtleties of the painting, particularly the remarkable feather painting. It is a three dimensional canvas which helps inspire a love of the great outdoors.
Malpage is now near 90 some odd years old and still carving. Ralph began making decoys at the age of 15 and was tutored by Benj J. He in turn tutored Wragg and Burrell , also well known decoy carvers of London Ontario, both men have since passed.
