Very RARE Blue Wing Teal Hen in the sleeping position carved and painted by Roy Guge a very respected illinois carver from the Fox River Valley region. If your not familiar with him just do some research on the internet about him.

Amazing unbelievable detailed painting done on this smaller than regular decoy size. Description written on the bottom and dated by Roy Guge himself with RG. Zoom in on pictures to see just how incredible his work was and to determine the condition.

From what I can see there is a very small rub or chip at rear corner tail not very noticeable though and what may be a very small ding to the back top of head again not very noticable. You won't see or find many of his decoys out there this is the first one I've found and I'm from the same area as he was so don't pass this one up cause it may be the last one you see or find. There was many write ups on him thru his life as a decoy carver along as many from his son Robert (Bob) Guge that was a famous carver as well that was a 5 time Award Winning World Champion in the miniature World Championship division winning awards all over even making carvings for the Danbury Mint.
