Snakey Head Prem. Black Duck Mason Factory -mackey Collection Decoy
Very desireable and early snakey-head model, circa 1905. Neck has an unrepaired gouge in the neck. No tail chip or repair which is rare for these models had a tendency to chip along the grain line on the tail tip. A couple of old collector tags on the bottom along with a strong Mackey Collection stamp. Paint surface is dry and never waxed.
A few smudges to the surface which might be easily removed but I made no attempt to do so as it does not detract from the strong shelf presence exhibited by this outstanding decoy.
