Vintage Antique Ira Hudson Bluebill Duck Decoy 1920's Chincoteague
I believe this is from the 1920's. Football shape, paddle tail, round bottom, tack eyes, nostrils. Ira Hudson never used a pattern so there are no two that are completely alike. Supposedly the early ducks were carved with the round bottom but he switched to flat bottom so they would not rock side to side as much. He used white cedar primarily.
