It was suggested that this is a Ben Schmidt St Clair Flats Decoy. On a tag on base it is written mallard hen hollow. Feather carving from st clair flats plus a note from a gift giver. Has a u nail on base. Wearing to original painted surface.
Lots of weathering to surface. Evidence of old chipping of tail tip.
