Vintage c 1915 Frank Adams Primitive Mallard Duck Decoy Paperweight
Maintains 99.9% of its original paint with a beautiful patina, a very smooth, fine crazing of the over top varnish which is uncompromised. On the tail and the beak edging (see photos 4 & 5), there is a small area of paint rubbing. The decoy is weighted with 2-1/2" X 3/4" inlaid lead (see photo 3). Adams' paper label on top of the weight is worn and no writing is visible. Frank Adams' Massachusetts paperweights are highly collectible and a great primitive carving for the fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman collector.
