Vintage California Pintail Drake Decoy, Unknown Maker. The decoy is 18 1/4 inches long, the overall height is 9 3/4 inches tall, with a 4 1/2 inch head om a raised neck seat. The head is well outlined with the original paint, with faintly painted eyes.
The head has a crack under the chin, and the head is nailed firmly to the body. The weight and tie line hook have been removed.
The body displays numerous shot marks, indicating it was a workimg decoy. There are no major splits in the body.
