Vintage Charles Unger Canvasback Drake Duck Decoy Hollow Michigan Very Early
The paint on this decoy is not original but is very well executed. It retains its original glass eyes and weighted wooden keel. This decoy is feather light with Ungers typical eggshell this body. Unger even hollowed out the head through a hole drilled into the head from the neck underneath the bill. Does show some wear with rubs to the head and tail.
UNGER brand is stamped on the bottom but partly obscured by the keel. This decoy has just terrific form and would be a great addition for any serious collector. Measures 17-1/2 long; 7-1/2 wide and 6-1/2 tall.
