Vintage Elmer Crowell Canvasback Duck Decoy Mackey Collection Stamp
VINTAGE ELMER CROWELL CANVASBACK DUCK DECOY. Wonderful vintage Canvasback Drake Duck decoy by famous East Coast decoy carver Elmer Crowell of East Harwich Ma. It carries the oval Crowell hot brand as well as an ink stamp from the Mackey collection. It is a full sized hunting grade decoy and is made of pine or cedar.
It is in good condition with a pleasing old repaint. The left side of the head is missing some paint and the left eye is missing. There is a hairline crack at the base of the neck.
There is feather stippling over the back and crossed wing tips. It is solid body construction and is 18 long and 8 ½ tall. It has a wonderful look and would make a great addition to any collection.
