VINTAGE EVANS MAMMOTH CANVASBACK DRAKE DECOY. Very nice Canvasback Drake duck decoy by the Walter Evans Decoy Co. This is the desirable Mammoth Model 18 in length. The structure is very good and the paint is original. The decoys show moderate wear from hunting with flaking and wear to primer on the dark areas.
The head is loose and needs to be glued. This would be easy to touch up and restore. The stamp on the bottom of this decoy is clear. This bird is a great example of a premium Wisconsin factory bird.
