Vintage Mason Factory Slope Breasted Mallard Drake Duck Decoy Hollow Mostly Op
The decoy is in mostly good original paint with some touch-up to the speculums, the breast and at a tail chip repair. There may also have been a wash applied to the head to even out the color. This old relic does show some wear from use including rubs and minor chipping to the bill and tail.
Some of the putty has come out of the holes where nails were set to join the two body halves. There is some separation at the body seam. The neck filler has been replaced with some touch-up in that area. The bird is branded with what appears to be, ?
It retains its original glass eyes and has a horseshoe shaped strip weight on the bottom. All in all, this is really tough to find.
