VINTAGE WOOD HUNTING DUCK DECOY, by Wright, Calif
Starting making his 5 piece redwood decoys during the 1930's. For sale is a great example of his early, pre-stamp, tack eyes, PINTAIL HEN. The ink stamp with his name and address came into use during the 40's. Some orginal paint shows under a hunter in use repaint. Wright inserted a wood dowel completely through the head into the body to reduce breakage of the thin necks.
