1925 California Duck Decoy / Janson
This listing is for a great old decoy. Its a "Tack Eye" Pintail drake. From the tip of the decoys bill to the end of the tail is about 17" in length, and its 5 1/2" in width. We have been told by several people that it appears to be all original paint. It is of a scratch paint body design with detailed carved wings and tail.
The decoy still has the original lead weight. There are two fine line cracks on the decoys neck but the head is tight. The sticker on the bottom says matched set but there is only one.The sticker say the carver was Dick Janson know as "Fresh Air Dick".
