Cork bodies with wood heads keels and tail inserts. 12-1/2" bill to tail by 6" wide by 8 high, (includes keel). These decoys were made in circa 1972 per David Hagerbaumer drawing on page-149 of "Big December Canvasbacks".
These "Barnegat size" can decoys were made smaller for use in smaller boats per page-369 of "Waterfowling Best Days". Worth Mathewson has written many magazine articles for magazines such as "Wildfowl" and "Sporting Classics". He has also authored 13 books, many on duck hunting.
He has used these decoys on the many bays and estuaries of the Oregon Coast. In his book titled "Big December Canvasbacks" he writes about his decoys.
