It is very old, factory carved, and made with a yellow bill and features a solid wood body with holes on the bottom where a weight would be indicating its a true working decoy. It appears to be unsigned but is stamped signed, Victor. With declining numbers, they are currently endangered and facing possible extinction in the near future. While the early Animal Trap Co.

The longest producer of hunting decoys, the Animal Trap Company of North America began producing in 1848. After World War I, the company began producing wooden duck decoys. Animal Traps are known for the unique carving pattern.

These stamps also indicated where the decoy was made. Production in Pascagoula, Mississippi began in 1939 and continued through 1949.

This information was from the unlimited ducks website, one of the experts on Victor Decoys. The form and style is looks great for an early US factory decoy. It is in good condition for age with many imperfections and areas of wear from usage appropriate to age.
