An antique or vintage, wooden duck decoy! Each one has a paper label on the bottom with the information given about the ducks when he had received them, and that is what I'm basing my info about each one on. This duck is noted with RUDDY DUCK Originally a Bluebill - used in layout boats in Maumee Bay. Made in Point Place - Toledo about 1880. I don't know when it was repainted as a ruddy duck, but it must have been years ago. CONDITION: Acceptable condition for age! The duck's head and body are two separate pieces and there's a seam along the base of the neck, paint has chipped a little bit around this seam and the head wiggles slightly if you twist it gently. Small paint loss spots, scuffs, and scratches spread throughout. Will come exactly as shown, so please see photos! MEASUREMENTS: Duck measures approximately 12" long, 4 1/2" wide and 6 tall each at furthest points. Carrier available to your zip code than what is listed first.
