Measures approximately 25 inches long x 17 tall x 10 wide. " unknown maker / most likely coastal Maine / circa 1900s " Was told by ebayer was made by John Lungren. Goose decoy was designed and made by John Albert Lundgren from 1941 to 1958. Invented in the 1920s and 1930s, the goose decoy was patented in 1941.
Not sure of wood type but I leave up to the experts. Piece is in fantastic shape but does show signs of age/wear typical with its functional use as a decoy and antique age so please see photos as they are part of the actual description. Signed as seen in photos on bottom.
