We are listing for your consideration today a great Antique Solid Cast Iron Painted Sink Box Hunting Canvasback Decoy. This decoy is in Excellent Condition with some slight surface wear and very light surface rust in areas.

There is loss and faintness to the original paint along with some very light and minimal old white house paint spatter. We did not clean the decoy. No other issues, you can refer to the pictures, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The decoy measures 14 3/8" long x 7 1/2" high x 6 1/4 wide and weighs approximately 33lbs. A great solid cast iron decoy with great faint original canvasback paint and yellow painted raised eyes.

A great form along with a great rare high head to the decoy. These were used at the turn of the century for ballast on flat boats using punt guns for hunting decoys. We are not sure of the origin of this decoy, looks to be a Northeastern decoy, possibly New Jersey. A great late 19th to early 20th century Antique Original Hunting Sink Box High Head Canvasback Decoy. It would make a great addition to anyone's collection or home.
