Nice old authentic working Robin Snipe shorebird decoy. Looks NJ for sure, possibly Jonas Sprague. Bill was crudely replaced with soft wood filler around face and back of spline hole. Would certainly benefit from a proper repair.

Nice soft mellow original paint that is thin and worn to show wood grain. Crack around head and face from bill repair. This is a nice used shorebird decoy from the late 1890s or early 1900s.
