This is an antique wooden wood Duck Decoy from a local estate. We looked on-line and found several identical lowhead redheads carved by Chris Smith the originator of Chris-Craft boats (google and youll find write-ups on these known decoys). It has a hollow body, with very distinctive low-head form.

Its very light weight, measuring 12 3/4 long overall. We left it exactly as-found uncleaned estate condition, with dirty surface to old paint and wear to tip of bill (appears basically full length / see images). Classic low-head hand carved wooden decoy by a very famous maker. Interesting 100+ year old early Michigan duck decoy!
