By popular request, here is another pair of "flyers" handcarved and painted by Casey Edwards in his antique/vintage style. Casey has carved and listed many flying bird species, and here is the sought after primo pair of the duck family...... Casey's flyers are finally getting the exposure and recognition they deserve through this site, where Casey Edwards is argueably the finest flying waterfowl woodcarver, and better yet, offering these works of art for sale to the public. Here is why they are so fine. These ducks are hollow for light-weight hanging, (most carvers do not spend this extra time). The wings are in the setting position, and deeply cupped. The heads are uplifted and turned.

The feet are splayed, and the tail feathers are fanned. There is feather detail both in the carving and the painting. The colors are subdued, and Casey's one of a kind style is shown here as a perfect mix between the vintage and contemporary look.

The eye screws on the back are offset to give a "banking in" appearance, and also this position allows you to see the bottom and the back detail while hanging. These flying ducks are in proportion, and are an accurate rendition of how they truly are supposed to look. These flyers measure life-size at 19" long and 20" wing tip to wing tip. Hanging in the right spot, these flying canvasbacks will be absolutely stunning.
