This Lady was Hand Crafted in Havre de Grace over 100 years ago.This Hen Decoy has a Hand Chopped Solid Body in good structural condition She has a nicely Rounded Breast with a Short Neck Shelf Her Flat Back shows a Slight Incline then takes a Modest Drop to a squared Flat Tail with rounded flat edges. She has a Rounded Bottom with a Very Steep Upsweep to her Tail Hen has a Pretty Patina with Some Original Paint and Wood Grain Showing Several Tight Stress Cracks show on back. Nicely Carved Contented Head Looks Forward and is Firmly Attached Head has Minor Shot Damage Very Nicely Carved Face/Beak Separation Painted Eyes. Bottom shows stress crack Retains Evidence of Staple and Ring Rigging Retains Original Poured Lead Ballast Weight.
