Ravens Way Visit Us on the Web is pleased to offer a Wonderful minnow-in-the-throat Yellowlegs Shorebird Decoy by Delbert Cigar Daisey, Chincoteague, Virginia, circa very early 2000s. Cigar Daisey is one of the most influential carvers from Chincoteague and a man who bridges the early days of hunting the Virginia Shore and the current world of contemporary carving.

Unfortunately, Cigars health has gone down dramatically in recent years, but his impact will be felt over time. I bought this Yellowlegs from Cigar during my first extended trip through Virginia and the Eastern Shore and the whole experience was incredibly memorable. This Yellowlegs is in Mint Condition having never before moved out of my decoy room and it has the added benefit of the minnow-in-the-throat design.

Cigar clearly understood shorebirds and his Detailed Paint Pattern further enhances the quality of the decoy. The Decoy is Branded and Signed, as is the Original Base. Measurements: 12 in length, 3 in width (base 7), and 9 in height, including the base. A Wonderful Shorebird addition to any Collection. Please examine the photographs as a part of the description.
