Evans Factory Gadwall duck decoy-unique special order in original crackled paint
18 long Evans Factory Gadwall (sometimes called a GRAY DUCK) duck decoy-unique special order in original crackled paint. No Evans brand, but their special order (rare) specie decoys did not carry the stamp. Two hunter applied weights on the bottom (one is a Herters weight and the other a turned strip of brass). Gadwall pattern is made with a standard Evans pintail (close relative to the Gadwall) body, and is painted in adult breeding pattern with dark blue specula. The head pattern is unique with a very high forhead which is characteristic of the Gadwall.
