Old Squaw Long-tailed working Duck Decoy Vintage original paint highly detailed By Danny Lee Heuer. This Decoy is from my (deceased) 96 year old father's estate and decoy collection. Hand-carved out of Michigan High Ground White Cedar by Danny Lee Heuer, Circa 1982. Measuring approximately 16 1/2" in length, 6 1/4" in height, and 6 1/2 in width. Hunted over and floated for 3 seasons before being retired to Dad's early growing decoy collection. We were given strict instructions to not shoot anywhere near this decoy, which we never did for obvious reasons!
This particular decoy, Dad put a little more detail in the carving as the "Old Squaw" was one of his favorite birds. Comes with a free poster, "The Decoys Of Danny Lee Heuer", which shows just a few of the many carved by him.
