Pair of Clifford V. Schmidt Signed Miniature Mallard Decoys
Up for a sale is a pair of miniature decoys by the decoy carver Clifford Schmidt of Weyauwega, Wisconsin. Schmidt was born in the Town of Wolf River between Lake Poygan and Partridge Lake. Schmidt started carving decoys for his own use in the 1930's carving mallards and bluebills. In later years, he made miniature decoys as decorative items.
These are signed on the bottom with his C. The decoys are approximately 5 1/2 inches long, beak to tail. A very nice pair in very good condition. Mason, Evans, Perdew, Carry-Lite, Gigl, Moak, Illinois River, Nelow, Lowery.
