High quality early duck by Madison Mitchell. Has had a quality repaint done in the past. Distinctive Upper Chesapeake Bay bird.
This bird has been evaluated and attributed by a local expert on Maryland decoys. Like most early Mitchell birds, this decoy is not signed, at least visibly with the fresher paint. It shows signs of having been hunted over. Some various marks from typical use. Stress fracture (stable) on tail.
