The DECOY measures 13"L x 6 1/2"H x 5W. She is one of the most beautiful decorative Hooded Merganser ducks I've ever seen. This decoy was hand carved, stamped and signed by Ralph Malpage of London, Ontario.
It has tremendous detail - carved wing tips and details that only can be achieved by a master carver. Please see photos for condition, note the exquisite feather carving on the decoy and the subtleties of the painting, particularly the subtle changes of coloration on the head and feathering. It is a three dimensional canvas which helps inspire a love of the great outdoors. Ralph Malpage was a renowned Canadian carver who perfected his craft over his entire adult lifetime.
