Wonderful classic Stevens decoy circa 1890s. In dry original paint with possible old white touchup to the white wing patch and near bill. Yellow glass eyes and two circular recessed holes. This one is unmarked and does not have the Stevens stencil. A very finely made a proportioned decoy. Fine little feathering detail along wings and on head when you get it in sunlight. Small crack at base of neck has been tacked to stabilize so the head does not turn.

Small thin strip of wood tacked to bottom so it will sit upright on the shelf. This is a great little bird that I guarantee to be an authentic Stevens decoys in OP. See my other listing for more antique decoys and hunting items.
