RARE Captain John Glen Widgeon Baldpate Duck Decoy
Original paint - Appears to be 2nd coat by Glen. Here is a very rare opportunity to own a Classic folky decoy from Kent County MD. The paint pattern on this bird is wonderful which is why his Widgeon decoys are in such high demand and hard to find. Structurally, this Decoy is in great condition considering it is nearly 70 years old.... With no cracks but some bumps, paint chips (primer showing through on bottom) and dents from hunting use.
There are also no cracks in the neck, but the Pate Has been touched up by Bruce Eppard where filler popped out of the nail hole on top of head. Decoy is roughly 13 inches long. I have tried to describe this decoy as best as I can.
