Rare solid carved pintail drake duck hunting decoy from the Mason Company of Detroit, MI, ca. Paint is excellent and guaranteed 100% original. Recently discovered in a large collection of decoys stored in a barn near Sacramento, CA. The collection was from a long since closed duck club. Measures 17 1/2 in length. The fine scalloped painting at the top front of the tail is characteristic of a Mason pintail decoy. In addition the age split in the bottom is more characteristic of Mason decoys as the Mason Company.
