When I was writing my book on Cecil County decoys, I interviewed 2 90+ years olds who lived in Charlestown (both are now unfortunately deceased). The y both told me t hat they knew Mr. Jackson when they were children in the early 1920s. They each also told me how Mr. Jackson would have a miniature sink box rig set up in his front room around Christmas time.
The fliers were hanging from the ceiling from wire. If you look closely on this one you can see the tiny hole where the wire was attached. I have spent the past 20 years searching for miniature decoys from Charlestown.
This hen is guaranteed to be from Mr. Jacksons home as I got it out of the Barnes home about 12 years ago from the grandson of P K Barnes who was the grand nephew of Scott Jackson.
