REDHEAD DECOYS - MATCHED PAIR. DELAWARE RIVER - FULL SIZE. RICK BROWN - BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ. This is a beautiful pair of full size Redhead decoys by Rick Brown, Brick Township, NJ. They are hand carved in the classic English/Dawson turn-of-the-century Delaware River Florence School style with detailed bills, superb paint, fluted tails, hollow air-dried Jersey white cedar bodies, high quality glass eyes, lead pad weights and leather thongs.
Each signed and dated decoy measures approximately 13 1/2 in length, 5 1/2 in width, 6 in height and bears his personal copper ID tag. Rick was the founder and owner of Barnegat Bay Decoys which he started on the old Wildfowler Decoy Company site in the 70s. Though the company closed its doors nearly three decades ago, Rick continues to hand carve the competition quality decoys that have earned him hundreds of ribbons for more than a quarter of a century. His decoys are highly collectible and very much sought after. This is a gorgeous pair of Delaware River Classics and some of his finest work!
