Robert Ellison is considered on of the top ranking decoy makers of Illinois. High set eyes and a distinctive head are the keys to identifying his decoys. All Elliston decoys were made with two piece bodies with the seam above the water line. This decoy is believed to have been produced near the turn of the century (1900) and remains in very good condition with no breaks, splits or structural damage. The paint is good with a scuff on the side of the head, body and tail.
