Shorebird Decoy, Late 1800s
Listed is what looks to be a Robin Snipe decoy. I bought it not too long ago as a bird thought to originate in NC.
The more I look at it, I feel like it comes from the NJ shore. It has numerous coats of old working paint. Regardless where it originated, it is a super folksy piece.
