ST. CLAIR FLATS SHOOTING COMPANY BRANDS GEORGE WARIN BLUEBILL DECOY 1890
Early solid body drake bluebill by George Warin, Toronto, Ontario. The paint has been restored in the George Warin style. However, the bottom of the decoy is in all original paint and bears the brands of four St. Clair Flats Shooting Company members. The Walker brand is the earliest 1890, so the decoy was made in 1890 or before making the decoy at least 125 years old. This bluebill exhibits the classic Warin bluebill form and with the members original brands makes it an excellent example of a decoy from the St. Clair Flats Shooting Company era. The structural condition is excellent as there appears to be no repairs. The eyes are glass and intact. Please view all of the pictures and ask if you have any questions.
