Wood Ducks, Wood Ducks, Wood Ducks!!! Do you like wood ducks?
Are you a collector or fan of the artistry of well known decoy carver Tom Taber? For your consideration is a beautiful group of three Tom Taber carved wood duck decoys-two from Ducks Unlimited(1983-84 & 1989-90) and the third from the very detailed Taber Woodendare Studios Signature collection(1985-86). All three are from my personal collection and need to find someone to love and appreciate them as much or more than I have. Pictures 1 & 11 show the comparative size and detail of the different birds. From left to right they are: the Ducks Unlimited 1983-84(16"L x 6"W x 7" H)the Ducks Unlimited 1989-90(19"L x 7"W x 9"H), and the Signature collection 1985-86(13"L x 5.5"W x 6.5H).
There are minor surface scratches common to decoys of this age, but no cracks, breaks or repairs. (The dark spot on the left wingtip of the left side 83-84 decoy is just darker wood-please see picture 12).
