Two Mallard Hens, Wilson Michel, New Orleans, Louisiana. One with back preening turned head and one with slightly turned forward head. Strong original paint on both with minor paint touch up where the heads meet the neck seats. Raised carved primary wings on both. Both with glass eyes, with fine cracks on the eyes of the preener.There is bill damage with wood filler applied to the forward head and the head is slightly loose. The preener has had wood filler applied at neck; they both have minor wear at edge of tails and very small flakes on the heads.
Both decoys appear to have never been rigged. 10" x 4.5" x 4.5" and 12" x 4" x 4". A wonderful pair of early New Orleans decoys.
