From the Havre de Grace school of carving, of the upper Chesapeake bay is 2000 full size pair of Canvasback sleeper decoys by John Clark, started carving around 1981. He hunted a lot with Pat vincenti and was in his shop a good bit and naturally took up carving.
His decoys have more of an ornamental heads on them, than most carvers of the Mitchell stye. The Canvasback measures 14" long from breast to tail and is just over 6.5" wide. They are in very good condition, with original paint, some lite wear and also signed by the carver and are marked (1 of 2), a matched pair. The drake does have some bleeding spots.
